obviously there are several different 'banks' on the jv1080. I have got this to work (piano patch on one track, synth on the other) but only with limited sucess. Do i have to mess with the jv or can i select all this from logic? I know i need to use Port 2, as that's what port midi in of the jv0180 is connected to from the midi out of my emagic mt4.Īll i want to do, is use (for example) 8 different patches/sounds from the jv1080 on 8 different tracks, all playing back different stuff. I am trying to understand the logic manual, and the way midi works in logic. I have an environment layer set up with a MultiInstrument object with all the jv1080 names in (apparently, but i'm sure some don't match!). So, i'll have the JV set to performance mode. I'm trying to set up my (Logic Pro 6) environment with my first external multitimbral synth/module, a Roland JV1080, and i'm having a few problems getting it to work properly in 'performance' (multitimbral) mode.
